The guys over at were lucky enough to spot a BMW M4 Gold nicely parked up at the side of the road. This is set to be one of the most exciting cars to see in 2014. While most may see the M4 as gold, it’s actually called Austin Yellow, probably less exciting than just calling it gold.
BMW M4 Gold
The power in the BMW M4 will come from a brand new high revving inline-six 3.0-litre twin turbo engine outputting around 425 bhp at 7,500rpm and a maximum torque of more than 550 Nm. So we know it’s not going to sound like the old v8 model, but I bet it won’t sound half bad.
BMW M4 Gold – Specs And Performance
The 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight six has been tweaked to produce a bit more power. Now it makes 425 bhp, and puts out 550 Nm of torque.
To transmit the power, we had the good ol’ 6-speed manual that spins the rear wheels through an Active M Differential. This helps the M4 to go from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds, onto a limited top speed of 155 mph. Pretty brisk.
With the help of downsizing and turbochargers, the M4 with Competition Package achieves 34.0 mpg, and puts out 194 g/km of CO2. Not bad.
